Blaufränkisch Ried Rosenberg. We are not in Carnuntum, but in a homonymous cru located in Weiden am See, near Gols. The vines seem to find themselves very comfortable on these slopes, made of loamy, gravelly soil that gives them what they need to reach great ripeness, character, and expression. This is an impressive and flawless interpretation of the famous Austrian red grape variety: A strong ruby garnet liquid fills the glass, while floral notes of violets, dark forest berry confit, ripe plums, fresh cherries, and candied orange zest fill up the nose. On the palate is juicy and elegant with silky tannins, a subtle touch of fruity sweetness to end with fresh minerality.
