The main actor of Schnabel's Rosè 2020 is Zweigelt, a grape too often underrated, born as a crossbreed between Blaufränkisch and Sankt Laurent. And it has been a great discovery, as it shines in its vivacity and freshness, without neglecting complexity and character. Swirling the wine in the glass, a springtime botanical garden opens up with red currant in the front row, followed by cherry and strawberry. On the palate, we are back in the realm of forest wildberries, that gives an aromatic touch capable of supporting the vibrant acidity. The finish is almondy with a mineral aftertaste.
