Barbera, the working class grape par excellence, finds one of its favorite terrors in the Langhe. Even though history has crowned other grapes, leaving Barbera on the lower steps of the podium, it has always found a place in the hearts of wine lovers. Cascina Corte's version is aged for 18 months in large tonneau followed by a short period of bottle aging. The color is an intense and almost impenetrable ruby red, as charming as a lady in dark red. The complex bouquet, runs between forest floor and Christmassy scents: from the classic black cherries and blackberries notes to the elegant and peppery spiciness. In the mouth all the pleasing aromas perceived by the nose are found again. The liquid flows as nimble as a the hare on the label thanks to the traditional acidity.
