Mediterraneo is Antonio's tribute to three key grape varieties from the vineyards overlooking this sea: Alicante, Carignano and Ciliegiolo. These grapes have been present in Maremma for centuries but have now been almost forgotten. This vintage is dominated by Grenache, which accounts for 40% of the blend, and it shows. Little colour, lots of fruit and lots of sapidity. Like the Mediterranean Sea, it is also a place where, unfortunately, many souls pass through in search of a better future. Thirty cents from every bottle sold is donated to Emergency, which helps shipwrecked people.
