In 2023 Finca Obskura began producing micro-lots with grapes from winegrower friends, and since 2024 they've been farming their own vineyards in Neustift am Walde (Vienna). On Vienna’s hillsides, Lukas and Yael work organically with biodynamic practices and a minimal intervention approach, caring for over 40 year old Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, and Chardonnay vines entirely by hand. Finca Obskura takes its name from the camera obscura, where gentle light creates fleeting impressions. In the same spirit, they try to capture the energy of sunlight in each grape, preserving its luminous essence through careful, natural winemaking.
