Dear Vinifero friends, 


after some holidays between the vineyard and the beaches of South of france, we are back to welcome you in Karmeliterplatz. 


Now to the current wine tasting... 


Let's stay in south of france a little and open the ball with Ananas 2022, from our dear friends from Banyuls. This pet nat is made with 100% grenache noir. Fresh, vivid and fruity. this wine is even more special to us since our dear Enrico participated strongly into the making of it. Only a few bottles available!
 

In Marsala Sicily, our dear Nino Barraco is producing the natives grapes in the most respectful and elegant way. For our second wine, we will pour a 100% catarratto from 2022, representing perfectly the terroir. A fresh minerality, with hints of citrus and salty notes. A perfect bottle for our late summer days.  

Now to famous Le Coste di Gradoli, Latio, where Clementine and Gian Marco created this little bomb of freshness and aromas: Bianchetto 2022. Procanico, Moscato and Malsvasia di Candia where macerated 2 weeks on the skin and then 8 months to rest in vats. 
We also have magnum version of this wine, in case if like us, you can't get enough of it!!

Next we will be pouring a rosé made of Zweigelt grapes, grown in the hills of the 21st district of Vienna - yes, it's time for some Weinbau Sackl's Pink is for Power! A brief aging in wood rounds off the acidity and emphasizes the fruity notes both on the nose and in the mouth, where clear hints of strawberry yoghurt, red berries and light hints of balsamic herbs emerge. Excellent freshness and inviting mouthfeel, a rosé not only suitable for carefree summer days, but a wine in all respects with an intriguing character and a surprising gastronomic versatility.  

Last but not least, let's go back to south of france! Next to the Tutti Frutti Ananas project, Francesco  a.k.a. Kiko, expatriate in france is having his very own line-up of amazing wines. Beside the fruitier and easy drinking ones, Kiko makes under the label of Les Ânes Ailés from older vines that better capture the special essence of Banyuls. It is made of the three Grenache and a little Carignan, named Ticché 2023.  
Maceration is short, only a few days, yet enough to extract the spirit of a dry and warm place. Matured in stainless steel, the freshness is preserved, together with showing a nice structure. The wine has no added sulfur, for a vibrant expression of the Cru Banyuls!
