And this current week's tasting line-up is...
This week we open the ball with “God save the wine”. Already a classic at Vinifero, we thought of resharing this beautiful frizzante with you again. Located in Emilia romagna our two wine makers from Il Farneto play a lot with classic native grapes like spergola and lambrusco. God save the wine is no exception, made of lambrusco and malvasia, all fermented together, in a traditional method. This wine is fresh, surprising, fruity and funky!
A Gemischter Satz from Bisamberg will follow. With 1,5 ha of vineyards in Vienna, winery Sackl makes wine with passion and dedication according to the biodynamic guidelines since several years. The Gemischter Satz, a classic Viennese, is a great white wine showing a bouquet of white peach, passion fruit, apple and lychee. Accompanied by refreshing and crisp acidity, helped by some spiciness and elegant finish.
Our third selected wine is no less than the great project: Tutti Frutti Ananas. In Banyuls, French Catalunya. Nespola 2023 is this year even more special, since our dear Enrico participated strongly the making of this vintage! Nespola is an orange wine composed of vermentino and grenache blanc. The grapes were fermented for two weeks on the skin. This beautiful wine brings gentle tannin, the right amount of orange zest and spice. The bottles are always sold out before harvests season, so come grab the opportunity of tasting them before they're all gone! ;)
Back in Austria for our second wine in Maissau, Weinviertel. No need to introduce the Quantum Winery, known to be a place where traditional austrian grapes are put into experiments. Chaos Rosé 2023 is a gemischter satz of both red and white grapes from the same garden. 3 days of skin contact only for a fresh and bold rosé! Only few bottles are available
Last but not least, one of our new arrival at vinifero! Michael Nittnaus and Mathias Rauscher decided to start together this winemaking project in 2019. They currently look after 4 small vineyard plots, that sum up to a total 0.6 hectares. All the plots are located along the Leithaberg ridge of Burgenland.
With only 575 bottles, this Blaufrankisch was first fermented with a semi carbonic process in stain tanks, then pressed and placed in smaller barrels for over 3 months. A beautiful aromatic wine to end this tasting.
