Granja Farm is a small organic mountain farm, founded in 2015, located in Chiomonte (TO) in the Upper Susa Valley by a group of people who have decided to take care of this rugged terrain, which risks being devastated in the name of progress. They began by reclaiming abandoned land, vineyards, meadows, and vegetable gardens to produce healthy, wholesome food in a responsible manner. They produce almost everything they need to live without the use of pesticides or herbicides, learning from the elders who live in these valleys and who are the last guardians of an immense wealth of farming knowledge. They cultivate ancient native grape varieties within unlikely vineyards nestled in the rock on centuries-old stone terraces. Granja farm preserves and defends knowledge, experiences, shared practices, seeds, and stories. Seeds and stories of resistance that have brought us to this valley from many parts of Italy to oppose the construction of the TAV, a useless and harmful project.
