Dear Vinifero-Friends,

it's agin time to join together around the table and enjoy the delicious cuisine of Inanna Wolf on Saturday 25th! A four course menu combining soul food, culinary experience from her travels around the world and local childhood memories. 

Till then, on to our weekly wine tasting:

The first wine to be poured, from l'archetipo, comes from the Puglia region. L'archetipo, as the name suggests, is a winery that aims to produce wines with a minimal intervention, following a just little intervention on the land and wines that are as close as possible to the archetype of wine. Susumante is a 100% Susumaniello. A fragrant sparkling rosé, very fresh and juicy. A versatile spumante with great character and able to adapt to any situation and season.

A Gemischter Satz from Bisamberg will follow. With 1,5 ha of vineyards in Vienna, winery Sackl makes wine with passion and dedication according to the biodynamic guidelines since several years. The Gemischter Satz, a classic Viennese, is a great white wine showing a bouquet of white peach, passion fruit, apple and lychee. Accompanied by refreshing and crisp acidity, helped by some spiciness and elegant finish.  

Just arrived on our shelves: The Chicken by Hopibauern, a truly original macerated white cuvée from Gumpoldskirchen. The winery is led by Verena, a veterinarian and Heiko, a former airline pilot, who both made a life changing decision not long ago to become passionate farmers, guided by biodynamic principles - in harmony in and with nature. The Chicken despite it's intense yellow colour, is an orange made of Grüner Veltliner, Rheinriesling and some Chardonnay. Fresh and with well incorporated acidity the structured wine with hints of tropical fruits was born.

Coming from Piedmont region, Matilde 2021 is a surprising rosé made of Dolcetto. Refreshing, balanced with minerality and aromas that reminiscent of fruit like black currants, strawberries and cherries. Sandro, the mind behind Cascina Corte, describes himself as a restaurateur and has good food and a circle of friends in mind, in short, the best you could wish for on and around the table - the place his wines are created for. 


For a special final place we decided to go for a fun wine from the famous village Banyuls, in the french Catalunya. Tuttu Frutti Ananas is a project by three winemakers who decided to join forces to create a line up, where each of them is entrusted with a specific task. The result speak for themselves, the wines are always sold out before they can be bottled! Morango 2022 is a red cuvée of Syrah, Grenache Noir, Carignan and Mourvèdre.
While light on it's feet, the flavors are resolutely Mediterranean with sun kissed fruits, seasoned gently with savory notes of sea salt and garrigue.
