Grape varieties: Aglianico
Alcohol: 13,5%
Region: Castellaneta, Puglia
Winemaker: Francesco Valentino Dibenedetto
An easier-to-drink but excellent interpretation of a grape variety that tends to produce wines with dark and austere tones. Compared to the volcanic soils of Campania and Basilicata, the two main homelands of Aglianico, the vines grow here on red soil rich in humus with siliceous-clayey-calcareous rocky inlays. After vinification, L'Archetipo's Aglianico rests for 18 months in large, used barrels. In the glass it shows a beautiful ruby red with purple reflections. Elegant nose with fruity and herbaceous scents. Excellent structure, tannic and persistent mouthfeel supported by good acidity.
