Among the wines that have reached the Olympus of consents between public and critics and that do not need any introduction, Amarone certainly has a place. Musella is a winery which considers the interpretation of the territory one of its strong points, therefore an Amarone could not be missing in their repertoire. In order to produce it, the best bunches of grapes are selected and brought to a ventilated room for drying. The grapes lose at least 50% of their original weight, concentrating sugars, aromatic components and noble tannins. In February the grapes are softly pressed and the fermentation starts by pied-de-cuve with a long maceration. The wine ages for 12 months in tonneau and large oak casks, for other 12 months in cement tanks and further 8 in bottle.
