Sanforte is one of the rarest grape varieties in Tuscany.
It had always been blended with other varieties in very small percentages until about twenty years ago, when genetic analysis proved its uniqueness. The Masini family immediately believed in this grape variety, selected it from their old vineyards, and replanted it in the new ones. It is a wine with an intense color and a solid structure, produced in just a few hundred liters and aged in small oak barrels.
