Mas Gomà is a family affair from 5 generations. Based in Les Cabanyes and within the borders of Penedes Appellation, they are one hour south east from Barcelona. The estate built in 1724 offers 22 hectares of limestone and clay, where Xarello, Macabeu, Parellada and Grenache are growing.
Joan Vendrell and his dad, Joan Manel Vendrell, decided in 2009 after 30 years of wine making experience, to revolutionize the tradition by taking control of the family estate. Embracing traditional methods, to build a better future.
They now create “vins vivants”, reaching for the maximum expression of the family farm work, in a sustainable way. After many years of organic work to recover the terroir, biodynamic agriculture has begun and the years to come sound very promising, with a living and healthy soil.
