Neben Sonne takes is name from the homonymous Franz Schubert’s composition and the key to its interpretation lies in the word substance. The selected and harvested Grüner Veltliner grapes are divided into three parts each of which undergoes macerations of different lengths. After fermentation, the three liquids are blended and aged on fine lees in large used casks for few months. The nose recalls the typical aromas of this variety, apple, pear and peaches, counterbalanced by an intense spiciness and honeyed aromas of propolis and beeswax. The taste is rich, full and deep, with mineral and ripe fruit aromas, without compromising elegance and drinkability.
