Sailtänzer is a great interpretation of Grüner Veltliner. The vineyard is about 60 years old and its soils are very mineral and rich on mica schist with addition of loess, graphite and topsoil. Once harvested and pressed, the grapes undergo a two-day cold maceration in contact with their skins to extract more aromas, and are then aged in 225-liter barrels. From an olfactory point of view is a real rope dancer, as its name says: it swings from complex aromas of candied lemon peel to buttery hints of sour cream, from nutty scents of toasted hazelnuts to yellow fruit like peaches, pears and apples, alongside spiciness. In the mouth is bone-dry and very mineral, showing a straightforward character with a good depth, a powerful body, and an elegant acidity.
