Region: Somló, Ungarn

Vulkan 2019 is a white wine produced from Meinklang winery's plots of land in Somló, Hungary, an area of slopes of very ancient origin, once volcanoes, which stand out in the middle of the famous plain called Puszta. The two grapes used for this cuvee are the traditional Hárslevelü and Juhfark: the first one is very resistant, has an elegant character and a fruity profile capable of interpreting the mineral character of the soil; the second one, literally "sheep's tail" because of the shape of its bunch, is considered one of the most prestigious Hungarian grapes. Vulkan 2109 shows a primordial character, with a fresh, delicate and fruity bouquet, together with a woven structure and a persistent spiciness on the palate.
