Grape variety: Grüner Veltliner
Alcohol: 12,5%
Region: Kamptal
Winemaker: Christoph and Mathilde Daignière-Koller
Do not be deceived by the name, this wine is NOT a Gemischter Satz, but a white wine mostly made of Grüner Veltliner which, by means of a clever play of words, becomes a ‘skin macerated treasure’. It is a blend of two different vintages, 2019 and 2020: The grapes from the first vintage underwent a four-weeks skin maceration and have been aged for one whole year in 300-liter barrels. The 2020 grapes have been left macerating for three weeks, then vinified quickly and blended with the older wine. It shows all its aromatic range, exuding hints of flat peaches, honey, tobacco leaves and compote. It is a wine of great character and aging potential, a must-have for every orange wine lover!
