Grape varieties: Grauburgunder
Alcohol: 12,5%
Region: Bad Krozingen, Baden
Winemaker: Felix Scherer and Michael Zimmer
A few kilometers from France, Felix and Michael have teamed up to craft wines in their native southern Baden. The 2022 Grauburgunder is gently pressed and spontaneously fermented in a blend of stainless steel and oak. It then spends 10 months aging on the lees in these vessels before being bottled. The wine presents a ripe stone fruit character, complemented by a subtle toasty note, fresh acidity, and a spicy finish. Serve chilled at 12°C, and pair it with bold flavors such as aged mountain cheese or sardines on toast for the perfect match.
