With Laissez-Faire, Christian Tschida ventured in the production of Rhine Riesling, not the first variety which comes to mind when talking about Burgenland and Neusiedlersee, but still a cornerstone of the Habsburg wine tradition. It does so by imposing its own style, made of manual harvesting, gentle foot-pressing, spontaneous fermentations, use of high quality Stockinger wood casks, no filtrations or finings. The result is a white wine dressed in straw yellow with some gold reflections, exuding inviting floral aromas in the nose, followed by fine herbal spices, orange peel, and elegant floral nuances. On the palate it shows all its full-bodied strenght, counterpointed by fine tropical fruit aromas, reminiscences of tangerine, a fresh and mineral texture that leaves the mouth clean and keen for another sip.
