(Back officially on September 3rd again)
Now, another event we prepared for you for upcoming August:
And this current week's tasting...
We're starting in Catalunya, Penedès, where Joan and his dad are producing natural wine as Mas Gomà since 2009. While embracing the traditional methods and native grapes from the region. El Creuer 2018 is a brut nature of traditional method made with Xarel-lo and Macabeu. This sparkling wine has all the characteristic of an elegant champagne. Was fermented 3 months on the lees and then left 40 months to rest.
Fine yeasty and toasty notes added with apples and lemons, this wine is perfectly round for an aperitif or will fit perfectly with tapas!
Back in Austria for our second wine in Maissau, Weinviertel. No need to introduce the Quantum Winery, known to be a place where traditional austrian grapes are put into experiments.
Chaos Weiss 2022 is a white cuvée ( specifically a Gemischter Satz). Fresh and crispy white wine, quite light with a nice fruit, perfect for those hot summer days!
Now to famous Le Coste di Gradoli, Latio, where Clementine and Gian Marco created this little bomb of freshness and aromas: Bianchetto 2022. Procanico, Moscato and Malsvasia di Candia where macerated 2 weeks on the skin and then 8 months to rest in vats.
We also have magnum version of this wine, in case if like us, you can't get enough of it!!
Our fourth selected wine is no less then the great project of Tutti Frutti Ananas in Banyuls-sur-mer, this time in french Catalunya. A fresh and juicy rosé made of Syrah and Carignan. Close your eyes, and you're already in the mediterranean see, enjoying fresh rosemary and thymian aromas. The cuvée Magrana 2023 just arrived and we can't wait to share it with you.
In Pisa, Tuscany, wine and olive are cultivated in the most respectful way towards nature. Embracing biodynamic farming, Sabino just added the power of two horses for helping in the vineyards.
Ginevra 2019 is produced with 100% syrah grapes. It is a fragrant wine, full of riped red berries. In the mouth, the tannins are relatively smooth with some hints of lakritze and riped fruits. A perfect harmony for out finale!
