60+ year old single vineyard Blaufränkisch, planted on a steep schist soil behind the village of Purbach, on the Western side of Neusiedlersee. The maceration is 5-week long, but the extraction very gentle, as well as the pressing and the yield very low. One single 1200 litre barrel is made, bottled unsulphured like everything else. A wine with great aromatics, vertical acidity, framed in a nice structure.
