Himmel auf Erde Rosè is definitely no run-of-the-mill wine. It shows a multi-faceted aroma spectrum through a parade of spices and red fruits and it goes between depth and lightness, as accurately as a tightrope walker. The sip is juicy, fresh, and easy to enjoy, with a delicate and harmonious acidity well balanced with the edgy minerality. The wine is aged on the fine lees in a 25 hl cask, giving the liquid a good body without compromising the elegance. It is made mostly of Cabernet Franc grapes, with an addition of Blaufränkisch, coming from the parcels Thenau and Edelgraben, where the vines are about 50 years old. Perfect to drink now, it is able to develop to its best after two or three years of cellaring, so make sure to grab two at least of those!
